How to clean up cards in the backlog
How to clean up cards in the backlog
Updated over a week ago

If your backlog is full of tickets that are no longer relevant to your planning, and you want to clean it up, follow these steps:

1. In the left-hand menu bar of Plan, go to Browse:

Browse is the total overview of all your scheduled and unscheduled tickets that you can easily search. Unplanned tickets are the tickets that are in your backlog.

2. To be able to select and remove multiple tickets, make sure the Browse view is set to "list view". This can be done by clicking on the appropriate dot in the top right hand corner. Also make sure that the filter is only set to Unplanned to ensure that you only delete tickets from the backlog.

3. A list of all your unplanned cards is now displayed.

4. On the left side of the list you can select which cards you want to delete:

5. Via the delete button you can remove them from your backlog.

Tip

You can sort the list by one of the displayed columns, e.g. expiry date, to show them in a certain order.

Tip

You can increase the number per page to 100 or even 500 at the bottom right of the page, to clean up even more at once.

Note

Cards that you delete are moved to the archive in vPlan. Therefore they are no longer visible in your backlog or your planning board, but they can still be restored. If you have accidentally deleted a card and want it back, you can find it in the Browse view by setting the filter to Archived. After this you can select a card and restore it:
