The third view in the vPlan app is the Boards view. You can choose a specific planboard from which you want to see the cards. Choose a board here, and at the top in the middle you can choose from the different views. You'll see again the list, list by day and calendar, as well as backlog and capacity.

List

Have you chosen a board and then choose list? Then you will see all the cards of this planning board here.

Create new card

At the top right you will see a plus sign. Press this to create a new card. Here you can choose on which board the card should be planned and in which stage. In addition, give the card a title, a description and a date. Click Add in the upper right corner, and the card is planned.

Filter

At the top right you will find the filter option. In addition to filtering by a certain status or resource, for example, you can also determine here how the cards are sorted, for example from old to new or vice versa. At the very bottom of the filter menu you can choose whether you want to see absence, completed cards, sub-cards and recurring cards in the list.

List per day

The list by day corresponds to the list explained above. The difference is that here you have a weekly list, where you see which cards are planned for each day. On days when cards are planned, you will see a gray dot under the day. Do you see a blue dot under days? That means there are cards planned on that day, of which the status is 'In progress'.

Agenda

With the agenda view in the app, you can conveniently view all assignments by time. So you know exactly what time something is planned, and where you still have space available.

In the agenda view, you can see all your cards, at the time they are planned. The cards all have a color. This color is determined by the status the card has.
At the top you see a row with All day. This shows all cards to which no start or end time has been added. If you scroll through the planning, you will always see these cards.

Plan cards

To plan a new card, press an empty area in the calendar for a few seconds, until a purple area appears. If you let go now, a screen appears where you can enter the first information of the card. Here you choose on which board you want to plan the card, in which stage, you give the card a title, description, date and a start and end time. Press Add and the card is planned. Once the card is in your planning, click it twice to open the card and add further information.

Extend or shorten your card

You can select a card by clicking on it. The color of this card will darken, and a dot will appear at the top and bottom. With these dots you can change the duration of the card. Do you want to lengthen or shorten the card? By dragging the dots you can make the block larger or smaller.

Move card

Hold card you want to move. You can now move it to another day or time. You will see a shadow appear behind the card. This allows you to clearly see where you are moving the card to. Below you can see that 'Order 10923' has been picked up, and moved to the Saturday at 10 a.m.

Navigate

Swiping left and right takes you to the next, or previous week. Pressing Today at the top right will bring up the current week again.

Filter

Of course you can filter in this view as well. Do you only want to see cards assigned to a particular resource? Or cards with a certain status? Then open the filter by clicking on the funnel icon at the top left.

Capacity

An important feature within vPlan is the capacity view.

Select the board you want to see the capacity of, and click Capacity at the top in the middle. You are now taken to a monthly overview. Here you can quickly see through the different colors on which days capacity is still available and which days are already full. The colors run from light blue for available capacity, to purple for not much available capacity and finally red for no available capacity. In the image below, you can see how the colors change based on your planned hours. At 0% planned this is light blue, at 100% planned the days turn red.

The green arrows in the calendar show which week's details are displayed at the bottom.

The overview you enter shows the total daily capacity of the employees. To see the capacity per stage or per resource you can filter at the top right.

If you use both machines and employees as resources in your board, you will also see the resource type option in the filter. Here you can choose whether you want to see the capacity of your employees or your machines.

In the filter menu you can select one or more stages from your planboard and/or one or more resources. In the image below you can see that filtering is done on the engineering stage. This allows you to see specifically how many hours are still available for this particular stage.

Kanban

With the kanban view in the app you can see the status of the work anytime and anywhere, what needs to be done first, and where the bottlenecks are in the process.
You will see a column for each status, with the number of cards that have this status at the top. On your phone, you can zoom in and out. If you have zoomed in, you will see one column and you can swipe to see a different status. If you zoom out, all statuses are next to each other, so you can also drag cards from one status to another. On a tablet, you will always see the zoomed out view.

Create new card

You can create cards directly in the columns. Click on the plus sign at the top right of the column. Once you click on this, enter the stage, name, description and date. If you press Add at the top, the card has been added.

Move cards to another status (column)

If you want to move a card to another status column, you can do so by pressing and holding the card and dragging it to another column. As soon as you let go of the card, the status has changed.

Filter

With the filter you determine which cards are shown in your Kanban view. For example, do you only want to see cards that have been assigned to yourself? And do you want to hide completed cards? Then you set this by clicking on the filter icon at the top left of the Kanban view.

Backlog

Select the board you want to see the backlog of, and click Backlog at the top in the middle. You are now in the backlog. Here you see all the cards that still need to be planned, as in the example below.

Click to open a card. You see that here, just like in the backlog on the computer, you can fill the card with all the necessary information. You can add a due date, fill in custom fields and add activities, checklists, labels and attachments. At the top of the card you will find the Plan button. This allows you to choose from a number of standard days, or choose your own date.
