Automatically modify custom fields
Updated over 8 months ago

Within vPlan, in addition to the title and description, you can add additional information to your cards. The fields you create for this purpose are the custom fields. One type of a custom field is a numeric field. Do you use a numeric custom field in your planning? Then you can use an automation to make sure it changes automatically. We have three automations for this. You can have the extra field automatically change when a status changes in a specific stage, or you can have the extra field change regardless of which stage a status changes in. You can also choose that an extra field should only be changed when the card has a certain label added to it.

  • When status of a card with label something in stage something changes to something, increase custom field something with number of

The conditions and actions to set are label, stage, status, increase or decrease, custom field, and number. Choose in which specific stage you want the custom field to be adjusted. Choose based on which status the extra field should be modified. Set whether the numeric field should be increased or decreased, which custom field is involved, and the number by which it should be modified.
