Create users

You can quickly and easily invite your colleagues to vPlan. This allows them to log into the vPlan environment with their own account and view the planning. How to create a new user is explained in this article.

To add a new user, in the menu bar on the left, go to Settings, and then to Users. Here you will see an overview of all existing users. The green Add user button allows you to create a new user.

After you have clicked this, a screen appears in which you have to fill in the email address of your colleague. Then, press the Enter key on the keyboard. Want to invite multiple users at once? After the first email address, insert a comma, and then type the next email address. After pressing the Enter key, you'll see the user(s) appear below, and you can choose the role and language. You can assign the following roles to your colleague: administrator, planner, worker and guest.

After filling in all data, click the Invite button to invite your colleague. Your colleague will receive an email, containing the information to complete his account. Once this is done, your colleague can also use vPlan. Click here to see how the guest can activate his or her account and get started with vPlan!

After inviting a user, you can still adjust them or link them to a resource.

If the user is also a plannable resource in your planboard, you can link the user account to the resource. This allows the user, for example, to receive an automatic notification when he is assigned as a resource to a card. When you link a user to a resource, you will see a switch appear with Access to assigned cards only. This ensures that the user only sees the cards in the planning that are assigned to him or her and are therefore intended for him or her.
