Roles and user permissions
Updated yesterday

In vPlan, you can assign users four different roles: Admin, Manager, Organiser, Member and Guest. Users with these different roles have different permissions in vPlan. In this article, you'll read what each user can do.

Admin

The admin has full permissions within vPlan. In addition to all planning functionalities, the admin can modify the configuration of boards, add new boards, create resources, add users, and change subscription details.

Manager

The manager has limited access to settings. While they cannot add users or access subscription details, they can manage boards, resources, and activities. The manager also has full permissions to perform planning tasks.

Organiser

The organiser has full rights within the planning itself. The organiser can plan orders, move orders, assign orders to resources, adjust employees' hours, start or mark orders as completed, and modify the due date. The organiser does not have the rights to modify the configuration of vPlan.

Member

The worker does not have planning rights in vPlan but can view and execute the planning. Within a card, the worker can modify certain details, such as status and custom fields. Furthermore, the employee can log time, provide feedback, and follow a card.

Guest

A user with a guest role has only viewing rights in the planning. In addition to viewing the planning, a guest can provide feedback and follow a card.
