With the automations in this article, you can ensure that collections are automatically added to the backlog of a specific planboard, or that a collection is duplicated to the backlog of another planboard.
Duplicate collection to other backlog based on a status change
With this automation, you can ensure that a clone of a collection is automatically created in planboard B when a card is completed in the final stage of planboard A.
When the status of a card in stage something changes to something, duplicate the collection to backlog of something including something and set due date to something plus/minus number of workdays
The parameters you set are stage, status, planboard and due date. Under stages, you choose at which stage of your planboard the automation should be triggered. Next, you choose at which status the card should be copied. Then you determine to which planboard the copy should be moved and indicate which data should be copied along. Finally, under date you choose whether to set the new due date to the original due date, or to today plus/minus the number of working days.
โ
The card is copied to the backlog of the selected planboard if it meets the conditions of automation.

Note
To ensure labels and activities are copied from the original planboard to the other planboard, make sure that the same labels and activities are also set up on the second planboard.
The data automatically copied are the title, description, custom fields, attachments and integration information.
Duplicate collection to another backlog based on a label
With these automations, you can ensure that when you add a label to a card, the collection is copied to the backlog of a particular planboard.
When label something is added to a card, duplicate the collection to backlog of something including something and set due date to something plus/minus number of workdays
When label something is added to a card in stage something, duplicate the collection to backlog of something including something and set due date to something plus/minus number of workdays
The parameters you set here are label, planboard, date and plus/minus number of days. For the label, you choose which label to make a copy based on. Then you decide which planboard the copy should be moved to. At date, you choose whether to set the new due date to the original due date, or to the creation date plus/minus number of business days.
In the second automation there is an additional condition. Here the collection is duplicated only when you add a label and the card is planned in a certain stage.
Add collection to certain backlog based on order type
With this automation, you can ensure that orders from your linked ERP application automatically end up in the backlog of a specific planning board. The order types are:
- Production orders
- Purchase orders
- Sales orders
- Quotes
- Projects
When collection with order type something is created, add to backlog of this board
The parameter you set is the order type. Choose which order type the automation applies to. All orders from your ERP with this type, are now automatically added to the backlog of the planboard on which this automation is set.
Add collection to specific backlog based on activity
With this automation, you can ensure that orders from your linked ERP application are automatically added to the backlog of a specific planning board.
When activity something is added to collection, add to backlog of this board
The parameter you set is the activity. Choose which operation from your ERP system the automation applies to. All orders from your ERP with this operation (activity in vPlan) are now automatically added to the backlog of the planboard on which this automation is set.
