An important part of vPlan is the capacity overview. Since our new update it is also possible to see this in our vPlan Go app. You can read how to find the capacity in the app and how to use it in this article.
When you open vPlan Go you will arrive at the dashboard. At the bottom you will find the planning boards tab, as shown in the image below:
Here you see an overview of all planning boards within your vPlan environment. Select the planning board for which you want to see the capacity.
When you have selected a planning board, you will see a menu in the top middle where you can choose between the list, backlog and capacity. Click on capacity.
You are now in a monthly overview. Here you can quickly see on which days capacity is still available and which days are already fully booked thanks to the different colors. The colors range from light blue for a lot of available capacity, to purple for not much available capacity and finally red for no available capacity.
The green arrows indicate for which week the details at the bottom are shown.
The overview you will see shows the total day capacity of the employees. To see the capacity per phase or per resource, you can filter in the top right.
If you have machines as well as employees and resources in your planning board, you will also see the option resource type in the filter. Here you can choose whether you want to see the capacity of your employees or your machines.
In the filter menu you can select one or more phases from your planning board and/or one or more resources. In the image below you can see that the phase engineering is filtered. This way you can see specifically how many hours are still available for this particular department.
