What hardware options are recommended for showing vPlan on the work floor?
Updated over a week ago

vPlan is not only for planners, but also for your team, which carries out the planning. How you want to show the planning and have it executed on the work floor differs from company to company and from situation to situation.

Here we present a number of options that we have come across in practice.

Showing the general planning on a large screen.

To show a general company or departmental planning at a central location, for example in the canteen or the production/workshop, you can use, for example, a Smart TV with a modern internet browser.

In addition, you can think of solutions such as Apple TV or Chromecast.

Another possibility is to run vPlan on a monitor with a mini HDMI computer on which windows 10 and an internet browser are installed.

Showing and having planning carried out via tablets.

Tablets are suitable to support the web version of vPlan. You log in to app.vplan.com via your tablet's internet browser with your username and password. However, you need to take into account the system requirements for tablets.

vPlan Go can be downloaded from the app store of your tablet, but keep in mind that vPlan Go is mainly optimised for smartphones.

Showing and having planning carried out via computers.

If you have fixed computers on the work floor, you can of course simply log in to app.vplan.nl. The advice is to use a fixed internet connection (via cable and not WIFI) in order to guarantee speed.

If you use smartphones to carry out the planning (e.g. on the road) then vPlan Go is the way to go. Make sure your staff has an Android or iOS phone that uses the latest version of the operating system.
