Within the timeline view we have developed a new function: the tooltips. This function allows you to see the same information in the collapsed view as in the columns in the expanded view. You can read how to use this new function in this article.
In the timeline of vPlan you can create even more overview by folding all the separate cards about various phases in one go and placing them next to each other.
You can do this with this button in the menu bar of the timeline:
In this overview the columns are hidden and all cards are shown on one horizontal line.
The new function, the tooltips, ensures that you can see more information about the cards in the collapsed view. You can now quickly and easily view the information without opening the card. Move your mouse over a card and a pop-up screen will appear with information about the card, as in the example below.
The information visible in these tooltips is determined by the columns you have enabled in the expanded view (read more about the columns in the timeline here: Adding / editing columns in the Timeline view).
Columns that you can change in the expanded view can also be changed in the tooltips, such as the resources:
The tooltips feature can be turned on or off in the timeline preferences. You can do this by going to the icon of the eye in the top right:
This opens your personal preferences, as you can see in the image below. At the bottom right you can switch the tooltips on or off.
Note: Under preferences you will find all data that you can make visible or invisible on your planning board. Information that was previously at the top left, such as expiration date and grid, can now also be found under "preferences".
