How does this automation work?
With the automation ''When card is created in stage something, add activity something'' you can make sure that you don't have to add more activities manually when creating a card.
This automation is especially useful when you have a stage in your planning board in which actually always the same activity takes place.
The parameters you set are stages and activities. For stages you choose for which stage of your planning board the automation applies, and for activities you choose which activity should be automatically added to a planning chart as soon as you create it in the chosen phase.
Example:
A production company has an Assembly department, which is also set up as a phase in vPlan. In the Assembling department, the Assembling activity always takes place. They do not want to have to enter this manually when planning.
You set that for cards that are created in the Assembling stage, the Assembling activity is automatically added.
Tip: Does the activity on the stage always have the same processing time? Then you can also set a default time in the activity. You can read more information about this in the article: Creating activities.
