vPlan has two types of capacity: at day level and at stage level.
Day level
In the daily capacity it is possible to easily and quickly adjust the number of resources, so that you can always quickly determine the right deployment per day. You can see the total daily capacity per day.
Stage level
vPlan has 3 types of capacity in one stage: employee, machine and space. Depending on the type of resources (employees, machines or rooms) linked to the phase, the right capacities are shown.
A stage with only resource-type employees has one capacity, namely employee capacity. If a resource-type machine is also linked to this stage, a second bar with a machine capacity will be added to the employee capacity. It is possible to use all three types of capacity in one stage.
Stay with the cursor on the capacity notification bar to get more information. A tooltip with data will appear. You will see the name of the phase and the percentage planned with respect to available planable hours. In addition, you can see the resources and the number of hours they are present on the phase that day.
In addition, you may also see the capacity of your resources per day. When orders are linked to a resource you can immediately see what the available capacity of a resource is per day, by means of a capacity bar around the resource, as shown in the image above.
When you stay with your cursor on the resource, the capacity of the resource per day in that stage opens automatically.
