In vPlan you can divide your plannable work processes over multiple plan boards. Cards are then copied from plan board A to the backlog plan board B when they have been completed in plan board A. With the automation ''When collection is duplicated to the backlog, plan collection automatically on stage something, on something plus/minus number of working days'' you can ensure that these copied cards are also planned immediately.
Attention: More information about automations can be found here: Automations
Automatizations are set on the Settings page of your plan board. To do so, go from vPlan to Settings > Planboards in the menu bar. Then select the planning board you want to change and go to the Automations tab. There you click on ''Add automation''.
How does this automation work?
With the automation 'When collection is duplicated to the backlog, automatically plan collection on stage something, on something plus/minus number of working days you can ensure that the copied tickets are planned immediately.
The parameters you set are stage and planning date. For stage, you choose in which stage of your planning board the copied planning card should automatically be planned on. Then choose the date on which the copied card should be automatically scheduled. This can be the date on which the copy was made (plus/minus the number of working days) or the original due date (plus/minus the number of working days).
Example:
Suppose you sell curtains. In addition to making the curtains to measure, you also provide the service of hanging the curtains. When the production process is completed, the assembly order has to be planned. In the video below we show you how you can run one job through two boards.
Tip: To use this automation you first need to set up the automation: Move cards automatically from plan board to plan board
