In vPlan it is possible to send an e-mail to your backlog. This way you can e-mail directly into vPlan which become cards that can be planned.
For example, you can load order flows that come in via email directly into vPlan as tickets that can be planned. It can also be useful when you are on the road and want to quickly email an order from a customer to the planning.
How does it work?
In the configuration of your planning board, the new email header has been added.
By clicking on the button ''Generate e-mail address'', vPlan automatically generates an e-mail address to which you can e-mail, as in the example below:
You can copy the e-mail address by clicking on the button ''copy to clipboard''. This way you can save the email address to the address book of your mail.
To allow emailing to the backlog of your Plan board, you must at least have the option ''Create a card in the backlog when receiving an Email'' enabled. With this button, you turn the function on or off.
To prevent spam in your plan board you can choose a domain (e.g. @vplan.nl) that is only allowed to put tickets in your backlog via the email address.
vPlan Pro tip:
You can set up rules in your own email client that, for example, automatically forward all emails sent to info@yourcompany.com to the email address of your vPlan plan board. This way you don't have to manually forward all requests to vPlan.
